Joseph Sultan’s cultural project introduces Serbian literature, Serbian classics, folklore, satire, and Balkan cultural heritage to Arabic-speaking readers across the Middle East, Gulf countries, and the wider Arab world.
The project connects Arab readers with Serbian authors and traditions including Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic, Branislav Nusic, Stevan Sremac, Milovan Glisic, Serbian folk tales, village storytelling, political satire, humor, and supernatural folklore.
By presenting Serbian classics in Arabic, Joseph Sultan supports cultural diplomacy through translation and strengthens literary exchange between Serbia and the Arab world.
Key books include Srpske narodne pripovijetke, Sumnjivo lice, Pop Cira i Pop Spira, Posle devedeset godina, Vodja, Zivot i prikljucenija, Ivkova slava, and Prva brazda.
This work helps Serbian literature become more searchable, readable, and visible beyond its original linguistic and regional context.
